Hummingbird Charities is a Jamaican nonprofit dedicated to uplifting underserved communities through practical, compassionate support. Based in Guanaboa Vale, Kitson Town P.A., St Catherine, the charity delivers food assistance, children’s support, mobile health outreach, and housing help, and activates quickly after disasters to reach families in parishes most affected. Our Sole2Sole program equips children with proper footwear so they can return to school, play safely, and walk with dignity.

Why now
After Hurricane Melissa, thousands of children in St Elizabeth, Westmoreland, Trelawny, Hanover, and St Ann need replacement shoes for everyday life and school. Sole2Sole is launching the “10K Shoes for Our Children—Christmas & Back-to-School Drive” to meet this urgent need before the new term.

How it works (our promise to donors)
With support from partners and our parish volunteer network, Sole2Sole will:
• Identify affected children in impacted communities
• Measure each child’s shoe size and record it
• Purchase good-quality footwear from approved partners
• Deliver shoes directly before Christmas and in time for the new school term
