Hurricane Melissa, the strongest hurricane in Jamaica’s history, brought unimaginable devastation to the island’s western region. While Sunset at the Palms sustained minor damages and has already begun clean up efforts, many of the team members, their families and their communities have suffered heartbreaking losses. Homes and personal belongings have been destroyed, and entire communities have been uprooted. 

The Sunset at the Palms staff are the heartbeat and soul of the resort. They are the smiles that greet you, the hands that serve you, and the hearts that make every stay unforgettable. They embody the warmth, laughter, and true Jamaican hospitality that make SATP so special. 

In this moment of hardship, we are standing firmly beside them. The hotel has already begun providing assistance, but the road to recovery is long and cannot be done alone.

This fund was created in response to the many guests and friends who have reached out asking how they can help. Every contribution - no matter the size - will go entirely towards helping team members rebuild their homes, replace essential belongings, and restore stability to their lives.
